Home Based (with regular travel to Ambulance Trusts and suppliers across the United Kingdom)

The Ambulance Radio Programme seeks to support patient care by delivering products-based approaches for critical communication systems across all Ambulance Trusts.


Responsibilities include but are not limited:


  • Responsible for providing expert Testing input and support to Ambulance Trusts on ARP related programmes and the associated system dependencies along with other elements of the ARP in Life Service.


  • Support thorough Testing of system design and function against pre-specified design documentation and test scripts.


  • Ensure that detailed records of testing compliance and any necessary failures are captured and detailed reports produced after the testing event. The post holder will also participate in the identification and delivery of service improvements through technical enhancement.


  • The post holder will be required to provide significant testing analysis and understanding of business and customer needs and solutions, whilst striving to reduce costs and ensuring business continuity across the programme is maintained.


  • The post holder will need to provide technical advice in preparation for and during significant planned testing events that take place within the scope of the ARP delivery into the English Ambulance Trust’s, at strategic and tactical levels, using specialist knowledge, and using relationships built up with users, suppliers and other agencies.
