Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust provides a range of community health services for both physical and mental health conditions, as well as a range of specialist services supporting people of all ages including family and young people services, mental health, learning disabilities and physical health community and inpatient services.

We deliver services to the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our 5500 staff serve a population of one million from over 100 sites across the region.


We have a number of opportunities for Band 3 Senior Health Care Assistants at our Short Breaks service in Leicester for people with Learning Disabilities.

We have 3 Short Breaks facilities for individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

Both facilities are challenging and rewarding environments. You will be part of the nursing team delivering packages of care to a diverse group of people with complex needs and will need to be able to display a positive attitude towards this client group. Good communication skills are essential as well as being able to work as part of a team and complete person centred care plans. A good sense of humour and the ability to empathise are vital for this role.

We offer support and training to the right applicants and an excellent opportunity for skill development in a continuously changing and dynamic environment.

Applicants will need to be able to work flexibly across a 24 hour rota including weekends, nights and bank holidays.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, rosters are set in advance at a team level and you will be joining an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date. We will consider requests to vary working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.
