We have a created a new role within our administration team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative, organisational & secretarial support to the staff within the School of Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation North East Office (SoPMO) and Pharmacy Clinical Informatics Service (PCIS); jointly known as the Pharmacy Practice Centre.

These are departments within the Trust Pharmacy which are involved in the organisation and delivery of regional training for pharmacy staff and maintenance of pharmacy electronic clinical and financial systems.

The role includes acting as first point of contact for the Pharmacy Practice Centre and providing an effective interface between its internal and external contacts, through good customer care practices, to ensure that its high profile, integrity and quality is maintained. The role will also involve day-to-day handling and administration of personnel queries; providing administrative support to teams, including minute taking; producing reports, correspondence and other documents for specialist pharmacists and technicians within the department; and maintaining and amending, under supervision, workload prioritisation processes.

The successful candidate needs to be adaptable and flexible in his/her approach to their work within a small team of professionals and will often be required to work to tight deadlines, showing initiative and an eye for detail.
