TRENT OESOPHAGO-GASTRIC UNIT (TOGU) SENIOR CLINICAL FELLOW (POST CCT OR EQUIVALANT)
Full time, with participation in the oesophago-gastric (OG) consultant on call rota
This post is designed to support the activities of the TOGU and provide specialist training at post CCT level in OG surgery. The post will be based at the City Hospital Campus of Nottingham University Hospitals. The post holder will work with all the OG surgeons in turn and be responsible to the clinical lead in OG surgery. This is a one-year post specifically intended for senior trainees seeking additional experience in OG surgery before applying for consultant posts in OG Surgery with a planned start date of July-Oct 2018. There will specifically be opportunities to undertake training in laparoscopic and minimally invasive OG cancer surgery, complex benign OG surgery for hiatus hernias and achalasia, and endoscopic therapies e.g. stenting, endomucosal resections (EMR) and peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM).
The salary for this post is the MN37 payscale.
