    • Apprentice Administration Assistant


We are recruiting for a few vacancies in different departments in the trust. Each of the roles and responsibilities will be explained to those candidates who are successfully shortlisted.

The Apprenticeship programme offers a full time (37.5 hours per week) 12 months fixed term contract which in most cases leads to a permanent position with Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful applicants will have good interpersonal skills, pleasant disposition and be approachable and provide visitors to the Trust with a friendly and efficient welcome and departure. Teamwork and flexibility are essential for this role.

The Apprenticeship Scheme is run in conjunction with a training provider to ensure that you are supported through a high quality training programme. You will be required to undertake the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration or Customer Service.

Candidates must have a genuine interest in administration and customer service and possess GCSE’s or equivalent in: English A*-D and Mathematics grade A*-D. This is an ideal opportunity to become an Apprentice and you will develop new skills and knowledge whilst working within an established team gaining valuable work experience as well as a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification. You must take responsibility for your own learning and whilst support will be given during working hours you will be required to undertake study in your own time.

The post will be £6,825 per annum pro rata, rising to £11,637 pro rata, on successful completion of probationary period, once in post for 6 months.

Please note:

There is an eligibility criterion for government funded apprenticeships schemes that applies and therefore applicants must be aged 16 or over and have been resident in the UK/EU for the last three years. You must not hold a degree, level four qualification or above in a Business Administration related subject.
