Have you got an interest in School aged public health? Are you an excellent communicator and enjoy motivating others? Do you want to work in an organisation rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC? If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join our existing School Nursing team

You will be part of a corporate team managing the workload within mainstream primary and secondary schools . You will be responsible for providing training to parents and staff on management of medical issues for children attending these schools. You will also deliver training to the students - where appropriate.

As a School Nurse you will need to demonstrate that you are enthusiastic and highly motivated. You will be well organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be computer literate.

Using these skills you will work closely with the school nursing Team Leads and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the School Nursing service is able to provide children and their families with the highest possible standards of care within an ever changing and challenging environment.

You must have SCPHN - School Nursing (BSc course) qualification and RGN Registered Nurse (Adult or Paediatric

Recruitment and Retention Premium

Recruitment and Retention Premium applies to the following posts:

Successful applicants within the staff groups above will receive -

  • £1000 upon commencement (payable in your first months’ salary) then;

  • £1000 after 6 months service subject to satisfactory completion of your probationary period.
