We are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity for a dynamic HCPC State Registered Band 7 Team Leader to join our FastTrack Haematology Team.

With a passion for Haematology you will be an experienced Biomedical Scientist who will join our team at an exciting time of change and modernisation. We are implementing exciting developments in how we delivery our patient care and you will play an essential role in shaping the future of our Routine Haematology service.

Bringing with you significant technical and clinical knowledge you will lead and manage a team of qualified and support staff. Working closely with our Clinical Leads and Senior Management Team you will play a vital part in ensuring a high quality patient service remains central to all we do.

With the ability to influence others through your leadership skills you will help to support our staff to embed a quality culture into everyday practices within FastTrack through your understanding of UKAS IS0 15189 standards and how these impact on a clinical laboratory. Using your detailed technical and specialist Haematology knowledge to lead on delivery of an effective clinical service you will ensure that our high performing key performance indicators remain one of our proudest achievements.

The role will be based at Leicester Royal Infirmary with responsibilities across the Leicester hospital sites. There will be a requirement to work at any of the 3 University Hospitals of Leicester sites over a 24/7 period.
