We are looking for registered nurses on the Short Stay Unit (SSU) who are passionate about providing excellent patient care and are enthusiastic in becoming a Band 6 Deputy Sister/ Deputy Charge Nurse

SSU is part of the admission avoidance floor and works closely with the emergency department and the assessment units at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.The SSU is a fast paced medical environment where a wealth of experience can be gained. The area receives short stay patients from the General Practitioners Assessment UNit (GPAU), the Acute Medical Assessment and (AMU) and the Emergency Department at the LRI with a length of stay of up to 48 hours.

The emphasis on the ward is to provide a quality short stay experience for patients. A keen interest in caring for the acutely unwell both medically and psychologically of the patient is essential.

SSU are looking for Caring and Compassionate Nurses with excellent communication skills who are motivated and passionate to lead by example and provide high standards of quality nursing care in a short stay environment.
