Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust provides a range of community health services for both physical and mental health conditions, as well as a range of specialist services supporting people of all ages including family and young people services, mental health, learning disabilities and physical health community and inpatient services.

We deliver services to the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our 5500 staff serve a population of one million from over 100 sites across the region.


An opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Child and Adolescent psychotherapist to join our lively and supportive Child Psychotherapy team based within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

There are three locality based outpatient CAMHS teams as well as specialist CAMHS teams within the Trust. Alongside supervision there are many opportunities to meet regularly with other members of the Child Psychotherapy team. Applications are invited from those eligible with pre-clinical training approved by the Association of Child Psychotherapists and with a place on the clinical doctorate Child Psychotherapy training. The training post is provided to support trainees to fulfil clinical requirements of the accredited training institution whilst assisting the Department of Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy.

Please note this is a 4 year fixed term contract however should the post holder cease to be an approved student of the training school s/he will no longer be eligible to hold the post.
