International and Private Patients (IPP) Services

Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse – Bumblebee Ward

Bumblebee Ward is a 21-bedded ward that includes three day-case beds and cares for children and families from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. The patient mix is enormously varied and covers both surgical and medical specialities – it’s a great ward to work on if you wish to deliver care to patients with a diverse range of conditions and it provides great opportunities to develop a breadth of nursing experience. Although based within the International and Private Patients (IPP) Division, the post is an NHS role and therefore successful applicants will continue to benefit from the terms and conditions of the National Agenda for Change agreement.

We are currently looking for experienced registered nurses who are flexible, innovative and highly motivated to join our friendly and dynamic team and who have previous experience of caring for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. We are committed to enabling our staff to take up the many learning opportunities offered by the Trust, providing the support and encouragement necessary to assist those wanting to develop their careers further – we are in an enviable position of being able to offer development into highly specialist roles including research nursing, clinical nurse specialist roles, case management as well as more conventional roles such as matron, infection control specialist nurse or practice development.

So whether you are an experienced paediatric nurse looking to take the next step of your career at a World class children’s hospital or an experienced adult nurse looking to transfer your skills to a slightly different area, we’d love to hear from you. For further information, or to arrange an informal visit, please contact Jasmine Hammond, Bumblebee Ward Manager, via e-mail at jasmine.hammond@gosh.nhs.uk

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
