This role is eligible for the Inner London High Cost Area Supplement of 20% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £4,326 and a maximum payment of £6,663

NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is a Special Health Authority within the NHS, responsible for optimising the supply of blood, organs and tissues and raising the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of blood and transplant services.

We are looking to appoint an Insight Manager to support the Head of Insight Strategy and Innovation in providing non-medical research and analytical support to inform and influence decisions concerning recruitment and retention of blood donors. You will be responsible for developing and running a programme of regular reporting and analysis using SAS software and for developing donor and customer-facing research as required.


You will line manage and develop two Insight Analysts and will deputise for the Head of Insight Strategy and Innovation, as necessary. You will get wider support of an experienced team of NHSBT statisticians in Bristol.


This post is an exciting opportunity for someone to lead a small, enthusiastic team supporting blood donation across England. You will have excellent communication and analytical skills, preferably including statistics and SAS programming skills, and experience of working accurately to deadlines.


This vacancy is on a fixed term/ secondment basis for 14 months. Secondments will be considered for NHSBT staff wishing to apply for this role.
