Rotational Band 4 Pharmacy Technicians

We are keen to receive applications from candidates working in any sector who hold a recognized Accredited Pharmacy Technician qualification.
We welcome applications from Pre-Registration Technicians who are due to qualify in the near future

We are looking for progressive and proactive technicians with strong problem solving skills. Applicants must be self-motivated and organised. You will be able to work effectively alone and as part of a team, and will contribute to the process of service development and innovation by your own initiative and enthusiasm.

Prior hospital experience is desirable but not essential. Successful candidates would be given full training and development in order to fulfill specialist duties for this post.

We are looking for enthusiastic technicians, who are organised, work well under pressure and are able to communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team. The role will include;

• Dispensing within the main dispensaries at Leicester Royal Infirmary, Glenfield Hospital and Leicester General Hospital
• Aseptic manufacturing
• Ward based activities
• Dispensing for discharge from the satellite pharmacies
• Counseling patients

The pharmacy service at University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) is a key part of the clinical multi-disciplinary teams and aims to provide a high level of clinical expertise to patients.

UHL is one of the largest and busiest trusts in the country and provides care to over one million people in Leicestershire and Rutland. Leicester is a vibrant city with excellent transport links.
