You’ll play a vital role in new Digital Delivery team – leading, motivating and mentoring a team of talented developers to create and improve new and existing products, platforms and services for patients, clinicians, researchers, scientists and donors.

In a very diverse and impactful role, you will:

  • co-ordinate the team to develop and deploy world-class information systems, application software and database services
  • act as subject matter expert on the digital development methods and tools used by the team
  • define and design the technical development of digital applications
  • provide expert advice and direction on development, database systems and systems analysis to other members of the Digital team and other NHSBT staff

You’ll need extensive knowledge and experience of the design, development, management and maintenance of information systems. Plus impressive experience in the majority of: C#, .NET Framework 3.5+ (inc. ASP.NET/ MVC), .NET Core; Visual Studio 2010+; OOAD and UML techniques; HTML, JavaScript and JQuery; XML, XSD and JSON; Network architecture and protocols; Phonegap/Cordova; Agile / Lean and Traditional methodologies; SOLID Design Principles; MS Azure; Testing Strategies; MS Test and NUnit; Automated Testing Tools.
