An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the chemotherapy suite team at the University Hospitals of Leicester. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Band 3 Health Care Support Worker with a passion for working within the oncology setting.

We are seeking a highly motivated and committed member of staff to complement our current team of registered and non- registered staff in the chemotherapy suite. As the ideal candidate for this post you would be an experienced Health Care Support Worker seeking an opportunity to make a real difference to people with cancer with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for helping people with an oncology diagnosis and willing to develop this role within the team. We require a candidate who is committed to improving patient care and willing to make a difference.

The successful candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication & interpersonal skills; be motivated, flexible, adaptable and able to work well in this friendly established team ensuring continued provision of a high quality service.

The role will be split between outpatient clinics and working on the chemotherapy suite based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary

Training and supervision will be provided.

Healthcare Support Workers employed by the Trust are required to follow the guidance set out in Code of Conduct for Health Care Assistants/ Health Care Support Workers to provide safe and compassionate care of a high standard, and to challenge others who are not. You will receive direct supervision and partake in reflective practice / training on a regular basis and be required to meet the Care Certificate standards.
