We are looking to develop the numbers of Higher Specialist doctors working within Neurology. You will work within a team of registrars to provide a clinical service within the district of Leicestershire. Duties will include outpatient and inpatient care, ward cover and full involvement with the on call rota. There may also be duties in terms of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level depending on your experience.

The appointee will hold the full MRCP and will have had experience of clinical neurology at CT level or equivalent. Clinical expertise in neurology and good communication skills will be required.

Trust appointed doctors at UHL will be entitled to take study leave and allocated funding for training and study. This post will allow successful candidates to develop their clinical skills and experience in a hospital with a track record of innovative service delivery, excellence in training and clinical research.

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust consists of three acute teaching hospitals serving as the single point of provision of Neurology Specialist Care for the population of Leicestershire.
