Our Commitment to you is to help you gain a level 2 apprenticeship in Business Administration within a 12 month contract. Hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with a salary of £150.00 p/w.

As part of the apprentice programme you will learn in the workplace and have off the job training.

The NHS abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screening programme is available for all men aged 65 and over in England. Men aged 65 or over are most at risk of AAAs. Screening can help spot a swelling in the aorta early on when it can be treated. The programme aims to reduce AAA related mortality among men.

As an apprentice AAA Screening Administration Assistant you will work as part of the team delivering the Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme.

You will be based in the programme office at Glenfield Hospital and full training will be provided. You will also have the opportunity to gain experience in the wider Vascular service. We are looking for someone who is punctual, reliable, smartly presented with a professional manner.

To qualify for the apprenticeship role the minimum criteria is:-

  • that you must have GCSE in English and Maths
  • have not completed an apprenticeship at the same level and sector in the past
  • do not have a Degree in a similar or same subject
