Would you like the opportunity to work as Lead Specialist Dietitian within our regional Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Service? The Great North Children’s Hospital (GNCH), based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) site in Newcastle, provides support to approximately 180 paediatric CF patients. You will work as a team with the Principal Dietitian and Specialist Dietitian (rotational) providing a service for inpatients, outpatient multi-disciplinary clinics within GNCH and other local sites, home visits and telephone support.

This role requires someone with significant clinical experience, including some paediatric experience. The post holder will work closely with and support the Principal Dietitian to contribute to and meet the demands of the service including research and audit, and be involved in the training, guidance and supervision of staff. As you may undertake home visits, a car owner and driving license is required. Please refer to the Job Description for all essential ad desirable criteria required for the role.

As the Lead Specialist Dietitian, this is an opportunity to develop your skills working alongside a dynamic and established Paediatric Dietetic Team who work within a wide range of areas including Allergy, Bone Marrow Transplant, Cardiothoracic Surgery (based at the Freeman Hospital), Diabetes, Gastroenterology, Ketogenic Diets, Metabolic Disease, Neurology, Oncology, Parenteral Nutrition, PICU, Renal Disease, and Surgery.
