As our Senior Digital Test Engineer, you’ll create and implement test strategies, processes and tests for a range of new and existing products, platforms and interactions. These products and features really make a difference to people’s lives and help colleagues across the NHS to complete tasks and requests more easily, so it is essential that our testing is robust and effective.

. You’ll work closely with the development team and stakeholders to understand the business and user requirements and translate them into effective tests to ensure standards are met, working across a range of testing tools, both manual and automated, and continue to develop our test offering.

As part of the role, you’ll occasionally be required to travel and spend time away from the workplace, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays.

We’re looking for experienced test engineers who are either ready for a senior position or already at this level. You’ll have a sound knowledge of test management, estimation, monitoring, and black box/white box testing, along with software automation and integrated data interfaces. You should also have experience in MS Azure, Browserstack, MS Test and NUnit, as well as automated testing tools, e.g. Selenium.

Communication and collaboration skills are also essential, and you should be comfortable relating complex information to colleagues of all levels and working with diverse contacts to make projects successful. You’ll also be able to motivate others while delivering at pace, balancing multiple priorities at the same time.

You should be educated to Master’s level or equivalent, ideally with a postgraduate diploma in software testing or a related subject.
