We are currently looking for a Logistics Supervisor/Team Leader in the Estates and Facilities Directorate, based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.


08:00 - 20:00 4 on 4 off permanent days - these times may vary as and when required.


Within our busy Logistics Department we provide a professional service working within the Trust which includes Linen and Waste, Patient Movements/Portering and Post Room.

We are looking for an innovative individual with the drive and ambition to lead a group of staff within the Logistics Department. The successful candidate will need the passion and drive to motivate individuals to deliver excellent patient care.

The Leicester Royal Infirmary is one of the busiest in the UK and the candidates who apply for this position must have the ability to work in an extremely high pressured environment.

The post holder will need to be able to communicate effectively with various groups of staff including having to co-ordinate the flow of work within the departments. Communication between senior members of staff within the Logistics Team as well as various managers/ clinical managers will be essential.

Patient care is our primary objective and it is essential that candidates who apply for these positions understand the importance of working to a high standard that meets the requirements of the Trust.

Previous experience in a supervisory role would be essential to the role as well as excellent IT skills with the ability to use a computer based system to issue Logistics tasks to the team.

The post holder will have excellent conflict management skills and will have the ability to escalate situations to the appropriate management level.
