An opportunity has arisen within the University of Leicester-for a Facilities Manager in the Estates & Facilities team on a permanent contract.

This is a professional manager post and a pivotal role with the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective strategic management of the facilities services within the Leicestershire Partnership Trust (LPT) which University Hospitals of Leicestershire Estates and Facilities provide.


    • Taking a lead role in the management of the facilities services within Leicestershire Partnership Trust, ensuring that that the relationship with our Leicestershire Partnership Trust partner is maintained and service levels maintained.


    • Ensure that financial systems and processes are managed accordingly and Budget resources managed.


    • Ensure all relationships with LPT and other organisations deliver best value for the Trust and Partners.


    • Identify areas of improvement and instigate and manage change when required.


    • Ensure the effective monitoring and management of standards and performance with associated reporting to Head of Facilities.


    • Ensure the continual development of the service by ensuring that managers receive the support and development that they require.


The individual will need to possess excellent communication skills and be capable of developing strong working relationships with staff at all levels.
