The NIHR Clinical Research Network – North East and North Cumbria (hosted by The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) has a vacancy for a Research Operations Coordinator. The role will involve working as part of a team to support the set-up and delivery of NIHR Portfolio research studies at research sites across the North East and North Cumbria region.

The post-holder will have a key facilitating role in developing the portfolio of studies, aligned to a number of clinical specialties, as part of the CRN NENC core delivery team. They will act as a link between Investigators and research delivery teams within the CRN region, to ensure research is delivered to the highest standards, in a timely manner to agreed performance levels. The post-holder will support our Partner Organisations in the timely and effective setup of NIHR Portfolio research, and so will involve travel across the Network.

Essential requirements include a qualification to Degree level (or equivalent qualification / experience/training). Applicants will have the skills to effectively coordinate the collection of relevant data essential for timely preparation of study submissions in accordance with NIHR timescales and objectives.
