This is an exciting opportunity to join the very busy, but friendly CAMHS West team based at Horizon part of The Western Hospital Campus, where no 2 days will be the same.

We are seeking a highly motivated and committed Administrator to work within our Children Adolescent Mental Health Service. You will need to have excellent attention to detail, are able to work within a team and/ or independently, must have strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.

The successful applicant will need to have good time management skills, be self-motivated with a positive attitude. In addition to these skills you will need to be patient focused, have excellent typing skills, (knowledge of audio typing desirable), a professional, calm and welcoming telephone manner as there can at times be some challenging and difficult calls. You will be required to take accurate messages and update patient records.

The ability to be able to prioritize and use your own initiative is essential.

The successful candidate would need to have an excellent working knowledge and skills in all areas of IT with good working knowledge of Outlook and diary management, the use of Word and Excel, which will be tested at interview.

Flexibility, problem solving skills, a confidential approach and a desire to make a difference are all vital for this role, and to consistently deliver a client focused service, promoting good customer service and effective working relationships.

The successful candidate would need to demonstrate empathy towards the needs of people using mental health services. Experience of working in the NHS would be an advantage but not essential.
