An opportunity has arisen for a ward clerk to work across the Oncology & Haematology Departments at the LRI.

These are busy departments so good organizational skills will be required. There is strong team working and a desire to provide holistic care to the patients admitted to the ward.

You will primarily be covering 5 days a week Monday to Friday but will be expected to work occasional weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis to ensure all departments are adequately covered.

The applicant should be computer literate and experience of working in an NHS environment would be an advantage, however training will be given. A working knowledge of TrackIt, Nervecentre and patient centre would be beneficial. You will need to be thorough with attention to detail. The post requires you to have excellent communication skills and Customer care, as you will be the first person to meet and greet visitors on the ward. You will be required to work on your own initiative managing your own workload, as well as working as part of the ward team.
