Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practioner (ANNP) Neonatal Transport

Are you motivated, enthusiastic, dynamic and looking for a new challenge? Look no further. We are a regional neonatal Transport service which covers 14 local hospitals within the East Midlands Region, transferring over 1600 babies each year.

We are looking to expand our existing team of experienced transport ANNPs. As part of our team of ANNPs you will be expected to work alongside our experienced transport nurses to undertake acute transfers. You will be required to deliver an advanced level of clinical practice within the field of neonatal care, working within agreed protocols and guidelines.

The Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner is an experienced neonatal nurse who has successfully completed formal education on a recognized ANNP programmer. In addition you will have completed your nurse prescribing course and you will manage medications, including assessment, review and prescribing.

The ANNP will exercise independent judgement to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the clinical care and management of premature and sick babies and their families. You will utilise your knowledge and skills within the neonatal setting, crossing the clinical boundaries between nursing and medical care. After a preceptorship period you will work independently with clinical supervision provided by the transport Consultant Neonatologist. Due to the nature of the transport role this supervision is usually remote via telephone.

You will need to be flexible in your approach to work and in the hours that you may be required to work in order that we can provide a neonatal transport service
