This is a developmental role which supports the procurement, storage and transport of equipment and resources within the operating theatre environment.

You will be expected to work on an individual basis but also as an integral member of the team within theatres and ITAPS Resources, Equipment, Decontamination and Sterilisation team and work accordingly to the department’s policies and procedures, up-holding Trust policy. You will also be expected to maintain a high standard of proficiency against the departments Quality performance requirements.

The post holder will be working towards progression to the post of Theatre Resources Co-Ordinator supported by successful completion of the Assistant Practitioner programme and associated Competency Assessment Framework/s.

To qualify for the apprenticeship role the minimum criteria is:-

  • that you must have GCSE in English and Maths
  • you do not have a degree/higher qualification
  • have not completed an apprentice programme in the past
