Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust provides a range of community health services for both physical and mental health conditions, as well as a range of specialist services supporting people of all ages including family and young people services, mental health, learning disabilities and physical health community and inpatient services.

We deliver services to the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our 5500 staff serve a population of one million from over 100 sites across the region.


We are seeking to recruit a CAMHS Crisis Health Care Support Worker to work in the developing CAMHS Crisis, home treatment service. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, motivated, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

The post holder will work with children, young people and their families (up to 18 years) the principal objectives will be to support young people where a period of home treatment has been agreed, providing short term intensive, therapeutic interventions to the client group. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the mental health practitioners in the effective management of a community caseload of children and young people referred to the service.

It would be desirable for applicants to have experience of working with children, young people and families or within crisis team settings.

The candidate should have an understanding of clients with mental health needs, excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and organised and have a reflective and flexible approach to working with clients with complex needs.

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.

The service operates from 08.00hr – 22.00hr seven days per week for crisis assessments while 08.00hr – 20.00hr for home treatment. The post holder will be required to work full time (37.5 hours) on an internal rotation.
