We are looking for a keen and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our thriving multidisciplinary team with a focus on helping people to ‘live well for longer’.

Our teams support individuals from Reigate, Redhill, Horley, Caterham, Oxted, Godstone, Lingfield and the surrounding areas.  

Currently we offer an opportunity to work across our Community Beds based at local Nursing homes and our local Community Hospital, Caterham Dene. This post therefore involves working within our rehabilitation bed settings and supporting patients to return to their own homes. 

The Multidisciplinary teams are made up of experienced Nurses, Therapists, Associate Practitioners, Rehabilitation Assistants, Health Care Assistants, Administrators and support staff. You will be assisting in preventing avoidable admissions to hospital and facilitating early discharges through comprehensive, effective and timely intervention. 

You will be providing Occupational Therapy intervention including assessment, treatment, care planning, advice and prescription of equipment. Some patients will have complex needs. You will gain generic skills to enable you to clinically monitor the patient and promote holistic recovery and discharge planning. 

The ideal candidate will be able to work within a Multi-disciplinary team and will be familiar with the rehabilitation needs of a variety of conditions which affect older people.  

You will work as part of a supportive Occupational Therapy team and have access to a full mandatory and statutory training and development programme, regular line management and clinical supervision and other learning and development opportunities.

You will receive professional support / supervision from an Occupational Therapist but should be confident to work independently. 

Due to the nature of this post, the successful applicant will be required to have daily use of a car. 

Current Occupational Therapy HCPC registration and excellent communication skills are essential, for clear communication with patients, relatives and other health and social care professionals.
