Depending on experience this post will be offered as a Band 3 or Band 4

An exciting opportunity has risen within Gynaecology for Medical Secretaries to join our team.

The post holders will be experienced at dealing with customers / patients and able to work with accuracy in order to provide high quality secretarial work. You should be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to prioritise your own workload possessing excellent organisational skills and being able to identify and escalate any problems to the Admin Manager in a timely manner.

It will be an advantage to have previous experience with waiting list management as the post will involve managing Consultant waiting lists . You will be required to have excellent word processing skills and the ability to type to RSA II / RSA III standards or equivalent are essential, as is good communication skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously. You will be expected to use your initiative and discretion and have an enthusiasm for your work and an excellent ‘team’ working ethos which is essential to service success.
