With a budget of around £270m, three hospitals and 5,500 staff, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based services to the population of Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and parts of East Durham and Sedgefield as well as community, therapeutic and screening to a wider population across Durham and Teesside.

North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary company of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions provides a range of Estates, Facilities, Supplies and Procurement services to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The company is a separate legal body to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will be an employee of the subsidiary and not the NHS.

On the 1st March, 2018, Procurement and Supply and Estates and Facilities transformed from North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust to North Tees and Hartlepool Solutions LLP which is similar in nature to the a Wholly Owned Subsidiary. As this role is based within a service area that has transferred, the successful candidate will be subject to an LLP contract.

The Procurement department provides procurement and supply chain services to the Trust. The department’s contracts teams take responsibility for developing strategies to meet the procurement needs of individual directorates and the Trust as a whole, and for delivering measurable savings from revenue expenditure in line with the Trust’s formal Savings Plan.

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Procurement Officer to join the Procurement department; a role which will be pivotal in delivering substantial savings to the Trust.

Salary F - £35,577 per annum
LLP Terms and Conditions
Full Time: 37.5 hrs

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious enthusiastic individual to work in the Procurement & Supplies and join a rapidly expanding and constantly developing function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the contract management for the Trust’s strategic contract and for assisting, planning implementing the Procurement & Supplies annual work plan.

We are looking for an individual with flair and commitment, who is capable of fitting into an existing team to deliver a high quality service and who embraces continuous improvement.

The successful candidate must be computer literate with the ability to use the Microsoft Office suit of business applications, with extensive customer service experience. The role requires the candidate to have knowledge of contract management, the Public Procurement Regulations, and the issuing of Tenders and Quotations above OJEU threshold limits.

Previous NHS experience is desirable but not essential.
