Children’s Physiotherapy Technician – Band 3

CSH Surrey is looking for a Band 3 Physiotherapy assistant to join our team. This post will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work alongside our supportive team of experienced therapists and assistants in providing a high quality assessment and intervention service to children aged 0-19 years. The children we see have a variety of conditions, including Cerebral Palsy, often with complex physical and learning needs. You will work within clinic settings, nurseries, mainstream and special schools. You might be expected to assist in assessments; deliver individual therapy/programmes; run groups; educate families and other professionals who support children.

Experience of working with children, young people and families with disabilities and working in the field of therapy is essential.

You will need to have experience of independent working, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of the multidisciplinary team.

As this post is based in the community, you will need to be a car driver to be able to travel between sites/clinics and homes within your locality area in Surrey.

Employed by CSH Surrey as part of the Surrey-wide Children and Family Health Surrey service

Children and Family Health Surrey is the new, Surrey-wide NHS community health service for children and young people from birth up to 19 years of age (up to 25 for young adults with additional needs) and their parents and carers. It also provides some services in parts of North East Hampshire and Farnham.

By working together as one service, Children and Family Health Surrey will ensure children and young people continue to be at the centre of the care they receive as well as improve access to healthcare services across the county and in north east Hampshire and Farnham.

You will join a service that will be delivered through an exciting new partnership between three of Surrey’s established and respected community healthcare providers and employers: CSH Surrey and First Community Health and Care and Surrey’s mental health provider, Surrey and Borders NHS Foundation Trust. Together they provide a single community health service that includes health visiting, school-age nursing and immunisations, therapies (dietetics, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy), emotional wellbeing services and specialist health services for children with medical, physical and learning disability needs.

For the first time, Children and Family Health Surrey will bring together physical and emotional health services that are designed first and foremost around the needs of the children, young people and their families.
