Band 6 Paediatric Physiotherapist Post: up to 37.5 hours (1 WTE) based in Farnham and Guildford If you are passionate about delivering high quality, effective and compassionate care we want to hear from you! This post will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work within a supportive local team of enthusiastic and motivated therapists and assistants; and benefit from being part of the wider Surrey service with professional leadership and an impressive range of CPD opportunities. Our service is for children aged 0-19 years, who have a variety of conditions, including Cerebral Palsy, neuromuscular conditions and children with complex needs. You will hold a mixed caseload and work within community settings including clinics, nurseries, mainstream and special schools and units. We follow best practice evidence and contribute to research to support the profession grow. The post will be based in a community clinic in the Farnham and Guildford area. You will have opportunities to meet up with and bounce ideas off other members of the team. We firmly believe that to deliver a high quality, effective and compassionate service we must ensure there is regular and a wide range of training and support provided to our committed therapists. You will be supported by the following: • Regular supervision with your line manager (a more senior Physiotherapist) • A thorough induction period including training and shadowing of other therapists before taking on your own caseload • A ‘buddy’ system. i.e. a peer to support you as you settle into your new role • Continual working as part of a team rather than in isolation You will work as a member of our community team in this interesting, challenging and varied role. Day to day you will be carrying out assessments, writing reports, devising/teaching programmes, dealing with equipment and conducting therapy sessions (groups or individual) including hydrotherapy for a mixed caseload of 0-19 year olds with physical difficulties or delay. You may also be involved in delivering training to parents, teaching staff and other professionals and working alongside Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists. Children and Family Health Surrey is made up of three partnering organisations; CSH Surrey, First Community Health and Care, and Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Together, we provide one Surrey-wide community health service for children and young people from 0 - 19 years of age. Applicants must have HCPC registration to be considered for this post and have had experience of providing NHS provision in a clinical role. Successful applicants, who have not worked for CSH within the last 12 months, will receive an amount of £2000 paid in 2 instalments - £1000 upon commencement and a further £1000 following successful completion of probation.
