Job summary
Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Dental Core Training (DCT1) Programme Director to lead and support the North Wales DCT Scheme. The postholder will contribute to the design, delivery and quality assurance of high-quality education for Dental Core Trainees across North Wales, in line with national DCT standards.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
- Lead and manage the North Wales study-day programme.
- Attend and oversee all scheme study days.
- Review trainee progress with Educational Supervisors.
- Support e-portfolio use and remediation.
- Contribute to national and local recruitment.
- Participate in RCP processes and act externally if required.
- Attend postgraduate meetings and working groups.
- Undertake required CPD, training and PADR.
- Deputise for the Associate Dental Dean (DCT) when required.
