Job summary
We are seeking an inspiring and collaborative Team Development and Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in the delivery and continual improvement of our Stem Cell Donor Registry (SCDR) services. This is a leadership opportunity for someone passionate about people, performance, and purposehelping teams thrive while supporting a life-saving mission.
In this role, you will lead and nurture a diverse, high-performing team, embedding a culture of inclusion, accountability, and continuous learning. Youll work closely with senior management to ensure the smooth operation of SCDR services, driving improvements in training, engagement, wellbeing, and service quality. You will use data and insight to inform decision-making, monitor key performance indicators, and ensure a consistent, high-quality service across the Registry.
A natural coach and mentor, you will take pride in developing othershelping individuals reach their full potential through structured development, recognition, and support. You will champion dignity at work and promote diversity in every aspect of the departments activities.
This is a hands-on role for a leader who enjoys balancing people management with operational delivery and who is motivated by making measurable impact. You will have experience leading complex teams or services, ideally in healthcare or another regulated environment, with a track record of building engagement, delivering change, and achieving results through others.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities include:
Supporting Management in the provision of services and developing an inclusive and engaging culture.
Supporting the operational department in improvements, developments, training, change, staff engagement / wellbeing and inclusivity.
Leading and delivering work streams, driving improvements through the management and development of the team.
Ensuring Dignity at Work and including diversity in every aspect of the departments work.
Producing statistical reports, collating and analysing data from several sources to present and deliver findings with recommendations to operational teams.
Ensureing operational needs of the organisation are met, by the implementation of a consistent approach across SCDR teams and ensuring a quality training experience for all.
Helping and supporting the improvement of engagement scores. To develop the team and individuals skills to reach full potential, ensuring equal opportunities are available for all.
You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.
