Old School Surgery, Pontyclun are seeking a motivated individual who has a commitment to providing high quality care. We welcome applications from newly qualified GPs or someone looking for a change.
The position available is for 6 sessions, working on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
As a training practice we host GP registrars and medical students.
We deliver a full range of Enhanced Services.

Main duties of the job
The following are the core responsibilities of the General Practitioner. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.
Perform clinical examinations of patients to assess, diagnose and monitor conditions
Carry out patient consultations at home and within the surgery
Monitor patients conditions and wellbeing
Carry out clinical examinations
Diagnose and treat various illnesses/ailments
Manage test results
Good record keeping
Adhere to Data Protection and GDPR policies
Liaise with other healthcare professionals as part of multidisciplinary teams
About us
We are 6 GP Partners, with 3 Salaried GPs, 1 ANP, 1 Pharmacist, 3 Practice Nurses and a Management team and administrative team as support.
Our main surgery in Pontyclun is located just off the M4 corridor (Junction 34, Llantrisant) and we have a branch site in Llanharry.
Practice population is approximately 12,200 patients

Out of the 6 sessions one of these sessions will be on-call either 8am - 1.15pm or 1.15pm - 6.30pm and the on-call sessions are rotated every couple of months.
