Medical Receptionist

Job summary

Attenborough Surgery are seeking a part-time medical receptionist to join our busy team at the Bushey Surgery, due to our continued increase in the volume of calls and new patient registrations.

This position is offered on a part time basis for 19.5 hours per week, set shifts and days according to surgery requirements and a minimum of 3 half days. General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills.

The shifts are as follows:

• Monday 2pm-8pm (6hrs)
• Thursday 7:15am-1:15pm (6hrs)
• Friday 12.30pm-8pm (7.5hrs)

A commitment to a full 2 week training programme will be required on acceptance of this role.

Main duties of the job

• 95% phone work, to include booking appointments.
• Small amount of administration relating to the calls taken.
