Job summary
Priory Gardens is looking to recruit an advanced clinical practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team, to help us to transform and modernise pathways of care, enabling the safe and effective sharing of skills across traditional professional boundaries.
The successful candidate may come from a range of professional backgrounds. As an experienced healthcare professional, educated to masters level, they will have developed the skills and knowledge to allow them to take on an expanded role and scope of practice caring for patients.
Main duties of the job
- demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers.
- be practising autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner within the designated speciality area to provide patient-centred clinical care. This will encompass the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the directorate.
- support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient and patient-focused service, and will ensure the safe treatment, referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in their area.
- have responsibility for leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.

About us
Priory Gardens Surgery is based in the historic wool town of Dunstable in the first HealthHub built in BLMK. We have approximately 18,000 patients and use SystmOne as a clinical system.
The practice is open to patients between 08:00 am and 18:30 Mondays to Fridays.
Our practice is made up of multiple staff consisting of GPs, ANPs. paramedics, nurses, HCAs, care coordinators, health & wellbeing coach, front desk assistants, GP assistants, clinical administrators and pharmacists who provide services to our patients.
