Job summary

Were looking for a Part Time Pathology Administrator to join our Pathology team at our clinic in Romford.

Address: 7 Weston Rd, Romford

Working days: Wednesday & Thursday 8am - 4pm. There may be a requirement for flexibility on occasion.

Nice, small friendly team of 6 people.

Our histopathology laboratory utilises a digital pathology platform, producing the highest quality results, with fast turnaround times.

With state-of-the-art equipment and modern surroundings, this really is an excellent working environment.

Main duties of the job

What you will do:

  • Working within our Pathology team, you will assist in the provision of an efficient and smooth-running laboratory service.
  • You will work in all areas of the laboratory as required, ensuring data entry, printing, distribution, telephone, and other office duties.
  • Undertake laboratory waste disposal, cleaning, and other general laboratory duties.
  • Provide effective, confidential, and comprehensive administrative support, ensuring that all activities are appropriately prioritised and actioned in a timely manner.
  • Accessioning histology samples into the laboratory information system, working with colleagues in the clinics on-site and off-site.
  • Occasional use of stairs may be required for this purpose.
  • Ensure that samples meet acceptance criteria for testing and deal with any non-compliance in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Undertake occasional heavy lifting (up to 20 kg), including disposable waste or supplies.
  • Ensure the efficient use of resources, maintaining stock levels as appropriate.

  • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy
