Main duties of the job
As a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your main role is to assist the Wellbeing Coordinator in offering various activities that promote the physical, cognitive, and social well-being of residents. This role involves maintaining a safe living and working environment, reporting changes in residents conditions, and supporting with supplies for activities. You will also work to establish connections with the local community to enhance residents experiences. The role requires effective communication skills, an understanding of the role of interaction in well-being, and a positive attitude towards older people. A background in working with older people in a residential dementia setting is preferred.
