Main duties of the job

As a Support Worker at Enable, you will play an essential role in making a meaningful difference in the lives of young individuals with complex support needs, including Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health. The position is based in Wareham, where you will support up to 11 residents in promoting independent living. You must be enthusiastic, possess excellent people skills, and adopt a positive, proactive approach to your duties. Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.

Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

Communicating- effectively communicate using peoples chosen methods

Engaging- promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life

Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches

Recording- keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management

Team player Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
