The post holder will support the Committee Secretary & Associate Director of Corporate Services in delivering an effective and efficient corporate services support function within the NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee (NWJCC).

The Corporate Services Manager will:

  • Provide operational management support to NWJCC,
  • Develop and implement business plans, projects, change initiates,
  • Carry out business performance monitoring and reporting,
  • Manage and develop the Corporate Support staff.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

This post is fixed term/ secondment for 12 months due to secondment cover.If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.

Main duties of the job

Through a mixture of internal expertise and external service providers, you will manage the platform of processes to produce our best performance, including:

Human resources management which will involve organisation redesign/change management,

Facilities management,

Business Continuity planning,

Maintaining and planning IT support,

Providing corporate communication and marketing support to substantive teams,

Legal and regulatory compliance,

Providing support to teams across NWJCC,

Health, Safety & Environment,

Complaints and public affairs,

Information Governance, including FOI management; and

External processes such as Public Inquiries and Investigations.

On a daily basis the post holder will work closely with Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Department and specialised functions, providing corporate services support to the organisation.

The post holder will be responsible for:

Supporting the Head of Corporate Services to ensure that a professional and efficient corporate support function is provided to NWJCC,

Line management of staff within the corporate services function; and

Managing the Headquarters site facilities.

The post holder will act a source of expertise on corporate services and legal and regulatory compliance.

The post holder will deputise for the Associate Director of Corporate Services as appropriate.
