The Support and Delivery Service's mission is to facilitate Health andSocial Care research that will improve the health and well-being of people in Wales by providing an effective and efficient joined-up national and localservice.
The National Head of Research Delivery Operations will be a highly visible role leading, directing, and promoting research activity in Wales and will play a key role in driving the highest standards of research delivery performance.
Main duties of the job
The National Head of Research Delivery Operations will be a dynamic and motivated individual with extensive experience of the management and delivery of research within Health and Social Care environments.
With a proven track record and experience in the field of clinical trials at a senior level, you will be accountable for strategic leadership, management and development of the National Research Delivery Teams and services and for the oversight of delivery performance of research studies led and supported in Wales.
The National Head of Research delivery Operations will lead, manage and motivate an organisation of multi-skilled research professionals to ensure that national and NHS organisation targets, including recruitment to time and target and speed of study set up are achieved and maintained within NHS organisations.
The role will provide expert assistance in the development and implementation of national and local R&D strategy in line with Welsh Government policy

- Registered Nurse / Allied Healthcare Professional or equivalent Research and Management qualification or experience Educated to at least Masters level in a relevant subject or equivalent work experience PhD or equivalent Research and / or Management qualification or equivalent experience Detailed knowledge of, and experience in, the planning, co-ordination and conduct of clinical trials
