Job summary
We are pleased to announce an exciting job share opportunity has arisen to join our Children's Learning Disability leadership team. We are looking for a Clinical team manager to jointly lead our service for children & young people in the Wrexham area.
We would welcome applications from candidates who are NMC registered Learning Disabilities/Childrens/ Mental Health or nurse with qualifications appropriate to the service area managed (Community nursing qualification).
The Children's Learning Disability Service is a multidisciplinary service and offers assessment and intervention services to children and adolescents (0-18 years old). The team leader is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the team in partnership with clinical and admin leads and the service manager.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, sharing our passion for innovation and continuous service improvement. They will be able to demonstrate compassionate leadership skills and a commitment to facilitating an open learning culture that embraces the ideas and expertise of team members to improve care and service delivery. For this, you will need excellent relationship building and engagement skills and be capable of developing positive partnerships with a range of stakeholders. You will understand and embrace the challenge of delivering a service, which is high quality, efficient, and sustainable, in keeping with the principles of prudent healthcare.
Main duties of the job
A background of working within children's services and a knowledge of both regional & national Learning Disability pathways would be advantageous. However, we are also keen to hear from candidates from other clinical specialities connected to supporting children and young people with additional learning needs and Neurodivergence who can demonstrate transferable skills in managing performance, quality, and safety.
Highly developed communication and problem solving skills are necessary, along with resilience and emotional intelligence to work in emotionally challenging situations. The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines is essential. Good organisational skills, reporting skills and offering supervisions to team members is required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
