Job summary
The Adult Speech and Language Therapy Community Team in Betsi Cadwaladr Central havean exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic Band 6 Therapist to join our friendlyand supportive team in a part time (3 days a week), fixed term post for one year. The adult community service provides assessment and treatment of patients with neurological conditions in domiciliary, outpatient and community hospital settings across Conwy and Denbighshire. The team also provide regular training to registered nurses and carers as well as feed into specific MDT clinics e.g. MS, Movement Disorders.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have the specialist skills required in order to workindependently with adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders,including successfully completed post-graduate dysphagia training. You will be able todeliver a comprehensive holistic dysphagia management plan in the context of multi-disciplinary working as well as be a team player contributing to service development.
Experience working with adults with acquired neurological disorders is essential. Experience of community working is preferred but comprehensive induction and training will be provided as required.
