Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic receptionist to join the GP Practice team at Tredegar Health Centre. This is a permanent part time position

You will have a good standard of general education to GCSE level, with previous experience of working as a GP receptionist.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work well under pressure with the ability to multi-task whilst staying organised. You will be a team player.

The successful candidate will provide a high quality administrative service to patients, doctors and colleagues and will be the first point of contact for patients

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

To support Tredegar health Centre GP Practice in the efficient operation of reception, and whole practice systems and processes.

To receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

To provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.

About us

Tredegar Health Centre is a well established GP practice providing GMS services to the local population. The practice is a managed practice within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.Working within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board provides access to a wide range of services and benefits to all employees.

The practice will be moving its services into a purpose built Well Being Centre in November 2023
