Do you want to be part of the national Operations and Development Team responsible for delivery of the largest HR, Payroll and Learning management solution and service in the World?
There is an exciting opportunity to become an Assistant Development Advisor for HR, Self-Service, and Learning Management within the NHS Workforce Solution. Joining a team of subject matter experts to help shape and maintain the development of the ESR solution. We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with a positive outlook to support the team to ensure they continue to deliver the best possible solution, maximising deployment and therefore delivering benefits realisation.
The post holder will support the Development Advisor for HR, Self Service, and Learning to ensure that the ESR solution continues to deliver in these areas. This will include leading on national discussions to understand where ESR can support policy as well as identifying where policy has an impact on existing ESR functionality.
Interviews are expected to be held in the middle of December 2024 via Microsoft Teams.

Providing specialist functional advice, support and guidance to NHS organisations in relation to HR, SS, and OLM in particular but across ESR generally.
Delivering ESR system demonstrations and familiarisation sessions.
Assisting with the design and production of educational materials and documentation and delivering ESR functional demonstration sessions to operational sites and other organisations.
Understanding and communicating the benefits of ESR as far as possible to understand the ESR fits within the wider NHS context and to act as an ambassador.
Being conversant with planned developments within the NHS in order to ensure that the system is tailored to the requirements of these in the ongoing delivery of the same.
Assisting in the provision of guidance and support to the NHS ESR User Groups and the Head of Operations and Development.
Acting as a key individual with regard to problem solving within NHS organisations. Developing an acute knowledge of how the system works so that quick and accurate guidance can be given to NHS staff who use ESR. This will include interaction with the Supplier support teams and systems.
Reacting to Service Requests (within agreed timeframes) that are assigned to the team.
Providing guidance on User Responsibility Profiles and ESR functionality and provide clear, concise, straight-forward guidance on the best way forward and good practice.
Maintaining an up to date knowledge around system interfaces and national initiatives concerning Oracle / ESR.
Maintaining and developing knowledge around the concepts of ESR and how each module interacts with other modules. There will be a requirement to communicate this information in an effective way to NHS organisations.
Maintaining an understanding of NHS terms and conditions of service.
Maintaining a general understanding of how human resources departments operate.
Communicating with all levels of NHS staff, all types of NHS organisations, external organisations and individuals associated with the project such as contractors or consultants. Establishing working relationships with key operational and strategic staff.
Ensuring that the views and concerns of staff using the system are relayed and passed on to the appropriate teams, but also ensuring that any perceived negative information around key functionality is delivered fairly and honestly and dealt with in the appropriate way.
