We have an exciting opportunity for aService Team Managerto lead our Safeguarding and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Hub!
We are recruiting a knowledgeable and compassionate Service Team Manager to lead our Safeguarding & DoLS Hub at the RoyalBoroughof Windsor & Maidenhead. This important role is central to delivering our Social Care Futures vision and ensuring that safeguarding responses are timely, proportionate, and person-centred.
This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £53,296 - £58,286 per annum.
Main duties of the job
As Service Team Manager for the Safeguarding & DoLS Hub, you will lead a specialist team responsible for delivering statutory safeguarding duties and managing Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
You will:
- Provide visible, supportive leadership to staff, promoting resilience and reflective practice.
- Ensure robust oversight of safeguarding and DoLS processes, in line with the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act.
- Champion excellent practice around mental capacity across the service.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to uphold individuals rights and wellbeing.
- Contribute to RBWMs strategic priorities: building inclusive, healthy communities, promoting prevention and choice, and delivering compassionate, high-quality services.

Qualifications
Essential
- Be a professionally qualified Social Worker holding either CQSW, DiPSW, Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
- Registered with Social Work England
- Substantial experience in adult social care (minimum 35 years), ideally including roles as a Senior Practitioner or Assistant Team Manager or Team Manager.
- Demonstrable experience in complex case management, including mental capacity assessments, safeguarding adults at risk and working with the Court of Protection
- Experience of performance management, staff supervision, appraisals and professional development
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in multi-agency settings (NHS, housing, voluntary sector) to achieve positive outcomes.
Desirable
- PEPS 2 qualified and experienced practice educator (desirable)
- Qualified as a Best Interest Assessor (desirable)
