About the Health Care
Assistant role
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic people to join our friendly,
supportive staff team delivering high quality care. As a health care assistant you will be
delivering all activities of daily living to
people with complex clinical care needs ensuring they get best possible quality
of life. Comprehensive training will be provided
to candidates with a genuine interest in neuro-rehabilitation/neuro-disability,
including a classroom based induction programme - including practical care skills
training and assessment.
There are great opportunities to develop and progress your career in health care including Level 2 healthcare support worker apprenticeship, trainee nursing associate and our own in-house health care assistant development programme.
Main duties of the job
Observe the condition of patients reporting any
changes or concerns to nurse in charge.
Work
with patients, the multi-disciplinary team and families to help patients
achieve realistic and achievable goals.
Provide
care interventions as directed in line with the needs and goals of the patient,
including all activities of daily living.
Maintain
up to date care plans maintaining patient confidentiality in line with Holy
Cross policies on documentation and confidentiality.
Comply
with recommendations from risk assessments to minimise risks.
Attend
relevant team meetings and case reviews.
Escort
patients on outings.

- Willingness to learn, motivated to work in a care environment
