Job summary
ABL Health have been commissioned
by Sefton Council to deliver a high quality and specialist stop smoking service
across Sefton. The Project Lead and engagement officer will assist the Head of
Service in increasing engagement and raising the profile of the service through
building relationships and delivering training to local partners in the community.
This is a varied and exciting role where the post holder will have a real
influence on the development of the service. The post holder will take a
pro-active lead in building relationships, partnerships, and alliances both
internally and externally to increase the number of referrals into the service
and expand the reach to the most vulnerable groups.
You will be a motivated,
passionate, organised and proactive communicator, with experience working in a community setting. ABL take a strengths-focused
asset-based approach to community delivery, looking to innovate and partner, not replicate existing delivery. No two
days will be the same in this varied and flexible role. If you are as

Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities will be:
Working
with ABLs communication team to help raise the service profile.
Working
closely with operational colleagues to manage the referral rates and develop
partnerships with all potential referrers in your locality.
Implement
community targets within marketing and engagement strategy, providing regular
updates and monitoring progress of community engagement projects to Head of
service and team.
Organise
and attend local community events across the Borough to promote our service and
encourage referrals, including workplace health and wellbeing events, health
promotion events, community fun days, health clinics, youth centre workshops,
and school events.
Collaborate
with Marcomms team to develop engaging resources for community engagement.
Attend
local health forums/meetings on a regular basis where required to represent the
service (this will involve some public speaking/presenting).
Deliver
Very Brief Advice training to client-facing stakeholders across Sefton to
increase signposting/referrals to our service from a wide-range of sectors incl
VCSE.
Innovative
and open minded to new ideas and piloting of different strategies.
