Were looking for a compassionate, proactive and enthusiastic Radiology Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly Radiology team on a bank basis. This flexible role is perfect if you enjoy variety, want to broaden your clinical exposure, or need the freedom to choose shifts that suit your lifestyle.
As a key member of our Radiology service, youll support our clinical teams in delivering safe, efficient and high-quality diagnostic care to every patient who walks through our doors. Youll work closely with Radiographers, Radiologists and multidisciplinary colleagues across MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray and interventional proceduresmaking this a fantastic opportunity to expand your knowledge in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Main duties of the job
As our Bank Radiology HCA, you will play an essential role in ensuring a smooth, professional and patient-focused service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Radiographers and Radiologists during imaging procedures, including MRI, ultrasound, X-ray and joint injections
- Preparing rooms and equipment, assisting with coil changes in MRI and maintaining a clean, safe clinical environment in line with infection control standards
- Providing chaperoning support during ultrasound and MRI clinics
- Carrying out routine observations, basic tests and patient care duties under clinical supervision
- Delivering compassionate communication, helping patients feel informed, reassured and comfortable
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as answering phones, scanning documents and ensuring accurate data entry
- Supporting patient flow to help maintain an efficient and timely pathway
- Participating in departmental training, competency assessments and ongoing development to enhance your skills
