With the ever-increasing amount of treatments and care we give to patients, our professional and detailed Administration department is needing Patient Administrator/Receptionist to join and assist the team at our Emersons Green hospital, Bristol.

This is a Bank position, offering casual working hours
Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00!
(Currently offering 2 3 days pw on a rota basis issued to you up to 2 weeks in advance!)
Main duties of the job
Being one of our Bank - Patient Administrator/Receptionist will see your working requirements be split between bright and vibrant front of house reception area and the busy fun back office.
Youll be meeting and greeting patients and visitors at reception, ensuring they are in the right place and booked in with the correct met by the correct person they are meeting.
Youll answer calls from patients, GP surgeries and other hospital departments on all aspects relating to booking appointments, admissions and patient referrals, documenting appropriately.
You will be managing the booking and potential cancellations bookings including all the following ups, documentation, communication and notification that would be involved. Youll be following the Patient Pathway and keep track of their movements between departments.
Youll be scheduling patients for surgery, co-ordinating and aligning dates and ensuring that the patient meets the criteria required before hand with assistance from the clinical teams.
Another important requirement of this position would be the booking of outpatient sessions, using the strict booking guidelines adhering to breach dates and ensuring optimal utilisation of clinic, theatre lists and gathering patient information where appropriate for outpatient clinics.
About us
It is envisaged that the Bank - Patient Administrator/Receptionist will come from a very similar background carrying out effective administration tasks relating to patients or a large customer base.
You will be an effective communicator at all levels both written and verbal and will have strong IT skills able to pick up new systems easily.
Multi-tasking will be second nature to you as you will have examples of having had to juggle multiple tasks at the same time.
Youll be focus and committed on your delivery of set tasks and requirements, always looking to achieve a very good standard of work, if not higher.
